*Position Title:*  Assistant Director of the Milton E. Ford LGBT Resource
Center

*Required Qualifications and Education: *Masters degree in Student Affairs,
Higher Education, Women and Gender Studies or relevant field. Two years
experience in a higher education setting. Experience directing large
programming efforts. Ability to work with students in crisis. Understanding
of LGBTQ issues in higher education. Ability to articulate both individual
and systemic intersectional analyses. Commitment to working with students,
faculty and staff to further the efforts of the Milton E. Ford LGBT
Resource Center. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse
constituencies including students, faculty, staff and community members.
Exceptional writing, organizational and interpersonal skills.


*Preferred Qualifications and Education:  *Competence in developing,
implementing and evaluating programs related to increasing diverse student
access and retention in higher education. Knowledge of social justice
movements.

*Responsibilities *


  - Work with the staff of the Milton E. Ford LGBT Resource Center to
  further the goals and priorities of the center and the Division Student
  Services
  - Assume primary administrative responsibility for production of our
  social justice training
  - Develop and facilitate the center’s weekly Loud & Queer program which
  supports students in building community, connecting with the LGBT Resource
  Center and exploring how the systems of gender and sexuality impact their
  lived experiences
  - Manage online communications including content creation for website
  - Develop and deliver training modules including Queer & Trans 101: An
  Ally Training
  - Support the Intersections Ambassadors program for students who want to
  engage in social justice education
  - Serve as a representative of the center on campus committees
  - Attend Midwest Bisexual Gay Lesbian Transgender and Ally College
  Conference and oversee student participation
  - Participate in the design and implementation of short and long-term
  strategic planning
  - Meet with and assist students in crisis and provide appropriate
  resource referra;
