Telnet Session Won't Start

I have installed WoAd on a Galaxy S20 (upgrading from an S5). As part of the "making sure I got it right" process after the initial setup, I create a message and use the default Telnet session to test. In this case, when I touch the start button, nothing happens.

I have been through all of the settings, matching them to the S5, which still works, and can't find anything amiss.

Using ver 1.5.5 (from the Google Play store).

Any suggestions?

Go to "sessions" in the upper right menu and look for a "start" arrow towards the center bottom of the scroon.

After trying all kinds of things, I removed the app from my phone and reinstalled and reconfigured it.

Worked first try.

Thanks everyone.

Too late to help in this situation, but the first place to check is generally the Logs screen, from the main top menu. This should give a reason for the failure.

All the best,

FWIW, I did look at the log and there was nothing there at all. It was like the Play/Start button wasn't getting touched at all. There may be different log options that I didn't explore ... it was at the defaults for a new install.

Thank you,

FWIW: I found another clue to this issue. On a DIFFERENT phone, I experienced the same issue. I created a new session and set it up to use a Digirig TNC. When I was done, none of my previously created sessions would work.

I opened one that I had for my MobilinkD TNC3, and the TNC configuration was missing my TNC. I tried to put it back and the ONLY available option was TCP/IP (no Bluetooth, no BLE, etc). After trying to edit several different sessions on the phone and everything else I could think of, including accessing the TNC3 from the MobilinkD app, I restarted the phone. After the restart, I could see all of the previous TNC options again and I could add the Bluetooth TNC3 back to the configuration.
