How do I enter letters to my SSID.  Only a number pad shows. My SSID has letters and numbers?

Your SSID is a "dash" followed by two digits.  It's used after your callsign, for some addressing in Winlink (not all addressing).

Don't confuse your packet SSID with your Wifi SSID, they are different things. Your packet SSID will be your call sign followed by a dash and a number from 0-15.

Now I understand,  Winlink-SSID is different from wifi SSID.  That was my confusion. I found the Winlink SSID page.  I am setting up a gateway.  On my established Winlink account do I create a new Winlink account with my call sign plus adding a -10 (N4HSX-10) or what ever the appropriate SSID?  That would give me 2 accounts, one with a SSID and one without.  Thank you for your help.

No, not two accounts. When you set up a gateway, your call is used as the base call with no SSID. When you set up a channel (packet, Vara, etc) on a specific frequency, then you add the SSID that stations will connect to.

Typically gateway stations on V/UHF use an SSID of -10. We do not use SSIDs on HF.
