Can't connect to Winlink Server using TELNET

I have just installed WoAD on my tablet, V1.5.16. I tried to send an email to my GMAIL address using the default TELNET settings. When I check the log, it states that my session failed to connect to Winlink Server [cms.winlink.org:8773](failed to connect to cms.winlink.org/107.23.253.164(Port 8773) from /172.24.172.19(port 60874) after 5000ms)

Can anyone help me out to figure out why I can't connect to the Winlink system using WoAD Telnet settings?

Not a problem I've heard of anyone encountering before. Assuming it wasn't a temporary outage of the WInlink Server, and that you can otherwise access the internet from the tablet, could you provide some more details to try and get a handle on what could be going wrong:

* the make and model of tablet
* how you're accessing the internet (WiFi, WiFi hotspot, mobile data...)
* have you successfully run a Winlink telnet session from other devices using the same interenet connection

and anything else that you think might be useful

I was able to get it to finally work. I was using the Wi-Fi connection at work and I think it was blocking the connection. When I switched over to my Verizon Hot Spot, it finally made the connection and sent a message. I thought I tried this the other day before posting to the help forum, but I guess my phone was still connected to the work Wi-Fi.
