- Couldn't update the list, to show nearby gateways.
- Thought problem might be because I had an older version of WOAD.
- Tried to update, but failed.  Probably because I had loaded with an APK prior.
- Uninstalled and reinstalled, and lost all RMS.
- Done with all the setup stuff, and the RMS list updates, but still doesn't show local gateways.
- The "missing" gateways populate perfectly on desktop RMS Express.

The RMS channel selection requires a few things in order to function as expected.

The first step is to ensure you have a recent list of the RMS channels, which is updated by tapping on the "Update via internet" in the lower menu of the RMS channel selection screen. This requires an internet connection, and can take a while to complete. You'll know it's done when the status text at the bottom of the RMS channel selection screen reports something like:

"Last updated: 2025-09-29 08:30 for grid square..."

If the date is just a dash then the channel list has not yet been downloaded and processed.

The second step is to get a GPS position. The simplest way to do that is to tap on "Single update" in the lower menu of the RMS channel selection screen. You'll know it's done when the status text updates the grid square.

If the GPS position doesn't appear to update you can get more configuration options for the GPS under (from the upper menu) Other... Position Report...

One problem I did encounter while confirming things were working is that the grid square reported in the status text of the RSM channel selection screen wasn't updating after getting a GPS position. This didn't prevent the list of RMS channels from being updated, and leaving and returning to the RMS channel selection screen would show the latest grid square. This problem will be fixed for the next release of WoAD.

If you're still having problems feel free to send some more info or screenshots so I can try and work out what is going on.

All the best,

Andrew

Thanks for the ideas.  The first step was the obstacle - my list would not update.  I got around that by manually entering the gateway information.  The two local stations had been off-air for about 12 hours, due to a Windows update.  I didn't think that was enough time for them to drop off the list, but apparently it was, as they are showing now.
Thanks, again.

I am running WoAD version 1.5.18, and I am unable to get the RMS list to run.  I think it's a grid square problem; it shows a grid square of JJ00aa.  My permissions show the GPS is allowed.

How can I get this resolved to get the list to work?

I found the problem, and now WoAD can see the GPS.
