WOAD Version 1.5.11

1.  I find that when a message using a text template that it does not get a message number.  WOAD displays the message "Message Null has been posted to the Outbox" and the message disappears.  It is in none of the folders.  I found that if I save the message as a Draft, open it back up, and then send, it gets a message number.  The text template follows:
=============================================================
Type: Winlink

Def: RideBase = XXXXXX
Def: CarbonCopy = XXX...@comcast.net
Def: CheckPoint = StartLine
Def: Riders = <ASK Enter Rider Numbers on Separate Lines:, MU>

To: <VAR RideBase>;
CC: <VAR CarbonCopy>;
Subject: <VAR CheckPoint> Rider Report

Msg:
<Time> <VAR CheckPoint> Report:
<VAR Riders>

==============================================================

2.  WOAD does not handle the multiple entry "MU" field correctly.  If I enter three entries and then press continue, only the first entry is returned to the Winlink message.  This can be mitigated by only adding the first entry, pressing continue and then adding the rest into the Winlink message.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Bill,

Many thanks for reporting these problems.

The next release of WoAD will have a fix for both.  The first problem resulted from failing to properly consider the creation of a message from a text-only template (i.e. no associated html form). The second problem is more interesting, and I have a query in with the Winlink team so that I can better determine the ideal solution.

All the best,

Andrew

And in the interim if you change your template as below, you should see what you're expecting. The problem only arises when a Def is used with <ASK ... , MU>

Thank you for finding the issue with the ASK.  That will get us through the bike ride next week.
