WoAD v1.5.5 is now available...

WoAD v1.5.5 is now available for download at https://woad.sumusltd.com/download

Changes in this version include:

• Add support for changing some Winlink account settings
• Add support for RMS channel selection from a map
• Add support for 2400 bps QPSK (V26A and V26B)
• Add support for 4800 bps 8PSK (V27)
• Fix crash when accepting incoming P2P Set Asynchronous Balanced Mode Extended (SABME) requests
• Update Winlink standard templates (1.1.3.0)

The latest version has also been submitted to the Google Play Store (in the open testing stream) - it can take up to 7 days for them to review and roll out.

Please let me know if you encounter any problems.

I tried to install this 11.5.5 version on my Galaxy S7,  Android 8.0, WoAD 1.4.97 and the package installer says it won't install.

I have tried installing directly from my phone, downloading to my phone, and to my Win11 computer and copying it to my phone. None of them worked (same won't install message)

The Play store thinks I already have the latest version.

Suggestions? (and thanks for a great program)

To get the latest release from the Google Play Store you need to sign up as a beta tester for WoAD from within the Play Store. You can do this by:

Go to the Google Play Store.
Navigate to the app listing for WoAD.
Scroll down this page. At the bottom, you'll see a section labeled "Join the beta."
Tap Join, then confirm your choice on the pop-up.

A new release is generally always part of the beta program. Only if it proves to be stable and without any significant bugs does it get released to those not in the beta program. This allows people to choose between having the latest features and known stability.
