MAD Magazine
@MADmagazine
There aren't words to express our sadness at the passing of MAD Magazine
writer Frank Jacobs. One of MAD's most prolific writers, Frank set the
standard in satire and parody for six decades. MAD would not be MAD
without him. R.I.P. 1929-2021

Frank Jacobs’ parody lyrics to popular songs, as published in MAD, were the focus of a 1964 court case that established that parody is considered “fair use.” (Berlin v. E.C. Publications, Inc.)

The Supreme Court just today issued a ruling that certain uses of computer code can be considered “fair use.” (Google LLC v. Oracle America)
