My OJ memory... I was at KFBK in Sacramento running the board for an NBA playoff game broadcast when coverage of The Chase started. Our managing editor came in and did a play-by-play of the chase watching the TV video. 

Later that day, a woman called upset that we were running the basketball game in a small window in the corner of the screen. She must have been of the generation that grew up with Channel 13 being a sister station of KFBK...

The Chase went down the night before my college graduation. We were sitting around the living room in my campus apartment, halfheartedly festooned with streamers and balloons in classic "We're all packing to move out and we found some streamers and balloons from that birthday party in February" style, and I was trying to contextualize everything for my housemates and neighbors.

Makes the dates easy to remember, anyway.
