A couple of years ago (which might be 5 or 10 or 20 by now [a]), I recall
reading a story that Ted "Unabomer" [b] John Kaczynski [c] was fighting
a demand for DNA samples the Feds were demanding from him as part of
their continuing investigation.

I'm not sure why he, as a lifetime inmate, was in a position to refuse.
Nor, for that matter, how they didn't already have them.
