If the fruitcake-tasting season isn't over yet (and it sounds at WNN that it may be :-)), then I
recommend the Collin St. Bakery product, out of Corsicana, Texas (https://collinstreet.com/).
IMHO, it's a standard like Campbell's tomato soup and the Wal-Mart pumpkin pie recipe. So,
if you don't like it, it's likely that you just don't like that *category* of food :-).

When I visited them, several years ago, they had pictures of VANNA WHITE and
JOE DON BAKER on the wall. I wonder who the CELEBRITY CLIENTS are these days....
