My memory might be off, but due to Goldendale's remoteness, I believe at some point in the past, members were reaching out to the Pacific Cascade Region as there were meetings in The Dalles and Hood River (both within range of Goldendale).  However, the zonal meeting list does not show any current meetings in The Dalles.  I would reach out to Pacific Cascade to see if that info is accurate.  It may make practical sense to connect with members that are in close proximity.

As terms of an area, meetings could join any asc  they desire.  If you are wanting to strictly connect with WNIR, Central Wa and Tri-Cities areas are most likely the closest.

Let me know your thoughts on this and if there are specific needs you have in mind,

Hi - yes, Goldendale WA meetings used to be in the Gorge Area, which was part of Pacific Cascade Region.  However, that area has folded.  I've attached a screenshot from our BMLT server of the Gorge Area meetings -- all unpublished, since we got them from NAWS 3 years ago and they no longer exist.  ("unpublished" meetings don't show up in any of our meeting directories, but are still in the database in case they might get brought back to life.)

Spencer I and Myk H from Pacific Cascade Region have been talking about this as well, and maybe helping folks in The Dalles or Goldendale to get their area started again.  cc'ing them on this email so that the appropriate folks can connect!
