The Annual Fundraiser Dinner will be held on Friday 28th June 2019 at Golf Course Hotel in Kampala. 

For You to make a difference in the lives of these needy but brilliant students from Westnile, we request you to buy just one ticket @UGX 100,000, or a table of 10 persons for UGX 1,500,000. 

Your records will be accordingly recognised, and may God reward you abundantly.

West Nile Education Trust Fund (WNETF).

Brief about the Students Scholarship Vetting Process.

The Board of Trustees of the WNETF is comprised of the following persons:

1. Mr. Charles Draecabo – Chairman
2. Mr. Ejiku Robert – Vice Chairman
3. Ms. Carol Andama – Treasurer
4. Mr. James Nyakuni - Member
5. Ms. Carol Badaru – Member

Every year, the Board invites applications from suitable candidates who are subjected to a rigorous vetting process so as to identify students to be sponsored by the fund to pursue University Education.

Due to funding limitations, the Board has selected courses for scholarship based on the current challenges facing the region and the Country, and these include the following;

1. Bachelor Medicine & Surgery
2. Bachelor of Engineering
3. Bachelor of Pharmacy
4. Bachelor of Nursing
5. Bachelor of Laws

The Applications received are vetted by a panel of distinguished and committed sons and daughters of West Nile with impeccable and unquestionable character, who are selected annually by the Board of Trustees. The Committee members do not receive any remuneration for their work.

The 2018/19 Vetting Committee comprised of the following persons;

1. Ms. Nelly Badaru
2. Eng. Pichan Cwinyaai Philip 
3. Mr. Adukule Godfrey
4. Mr. Atria Nicholas

To qualify for sponsorship, the applicants must meet the following key criteria;

1. Outstandingly brilliant and excel in the entry exams
2. Hold admission to a Public University for one of the specified courses
3. Demonstrate that they are financially disadvantaged
4. Agrees to unconditionally contribute to, and support the activities of the fund upon completion of their courses.

The fund received a total of 24 applications following advertisement of the scholarship offer. Upon completion of the vetting process, the following six candidates were selected by the Committee for sponsorship;

1. Drileba Sunday, B. Pharm, MUK
2. Mandera Vivian, B. Pharm, MUST
3. Padria Paul, B Med & Surgery, MUST
4. Onencan Innocent, B Med & Surgery, MUK
5. Anyama Akomi Jonathan, B Med & Surgery, MUK
6. Munguleni Jonathan, B. Eng (Civil), MUK.

The Board of Trustees wishes to thank all well-wishers who have generously and seflessly contributed towards this initiative.

We invite you again to participate in this year’s dinner, scheduled for Friday 28th June 2019 at Golf Course Hotel.
