Hello all,

Technovation is an expressway to innovation, a platform for students to float innovative projects, recruit teams, get funded, find mentors and realize their dream projects.

Team Technovation introduces to you 'Summer Technovation', where you can come up with your own ideas and turn them into reality during the summer with full support in terms of funding, infrastructure, mentoring and lot more. The project can be inspired from real-life problems around us or can be driven by your whims and fancies. It is expected that the teams complete their projects and come up with working prototype of the product that they propose to make.

Why Summer Technovation?

  • You spend your summer doing something close to your heart with full funding and at an excellent workplace- Tinkerers' Lab.

  • You may end up turning your product into market reality with the support of SINE, E-Cell etc.

  • You will get full support to get your innovative projects patented.

  • You will be provided opportunity to showcase your project in exhibitions and  symposiums at national level.

  • You can take up your idea to a next level in Technovation in the upcoming year.

Eligibility:

All PG students (completed at least one semester in the Institute) and

UG students (completed at least 3 semesters in the Institute) are eligible for Summer Technovation.

Guidelines:

  • Selection Procedure: Students are invited to form teams and submit their ideas in the form of an abstract detailing the technical aspects. Best innovative projects would be selected by the review committee

  • Team Structure: The project can be done individually or in a team with maximum four members. People from any domain can work together.

  • Project Duration: The project must be minimum one month long and can extend up to full summer. After a month of the start of project, it is expected that a demonstrable prototype should be ready.

Abstract Details:

  1. Problem Statement: This section describes what exactly is the problem solved by the project. It should also include the expected outcome after successful completion of the project.

  2. Solution: This would describe how the team  wishes to tackle the problem. It should be detailed and technically sound. It should also highlight the possible challenges and how they would be overcome.

  3. Components and Costs: Rough list of components and expected costs to be incurred.

  4. Timeline: Rough timeline which breaks down project into verifiable targets.
