Google community for WnCC

Dear All,

Anil started a google community for the web and coding club a couple of days back.

This is a relatively new experiment.

Primarily to aim for instant discussions and easier ways to share small links, some interesting hacks etc.

G+ Community has pretty much all features needed which include tagging people and posts, tag search, notifications, categories and as well reply to posts via email.

The current view is to make use of community to foster instant discussions. We also hope this might increase the contribution from the group members as you can share links on the go or discuss via comments without the need of writing a mail.

Moreover we receive a lot of job opportunites mail which as of now we forward to internship cell, google community provides us the option to share such opportunities via the different tags. Such posts are not mixed with discussion posts and thus can be viewed by only interested people. 

A lot of active communities thrive on G+ and this community is an experiment to see if we can and/or should operate a google community for the club.

We have also started a discussion regarding the feasibility of maintaining a community on the community here.

We would like to hear your views regarding maintaining such a community and keeping it active. 

Also feel free to share pros/cons in having such a community.

ps as a part of increasing outreach of the club we have been operating a facebook page where we share intersting links.
