SCP to mars from outside insti using login.iitb.ac.in

Anybody knows how to do it? Without VPN and using the login server

what i did was ssh'ed into mars and from there scp from my pc to there. after installing ssh server in my pc.

Use ssh -X sec...@login.iitb.ac.in

-X flag allows you to open new windows.

Then type "nautilus &". You will see your home folder. You can copy stuff into that as well.

You can type "firefox &" to access asc.iitb.ac.in as well.
But firefox being a heavy software hangs often. Generally dc++ client is not installed on nsl/osl machines. Thus VPN is better if u want to access intranet of iitb

use a ssh client. then ssh using the way that is shown, and you will be able to drag drop stuff.

VPN is not working these days. That’s why I asked this question
