Problem Set #1

[Competitive Programming at WnCC]

Hey all! 

Summer vacations have ended and you all must be infinitely enthu to try out your hands at some code.

So, we bring you your first set of problems, handpicked by Navin Chandak from SPOJ.

Here's how this works:

1. We will give you links 5 problems. You're to solve them within a week and submit your solutions to us.

2. Submission format: Let us say the given problem code is TEST and your username is johndoe. Then, your submission link would look like http://www.spoj.com/status/TEST,johndoe/

3. Suppose you solve k out of n problems given by us. Then  you'll have to mail your k links to wnccp...@gmail.com.

4. Your entries will be evaluated on the basis of number of solutions (wrong submissions in coding contests get you negative points).

Here are a few rules regarding this thread:

1. Discussions on this thread are encouraged. But please refrain from posting your algorithm until the submission deadline. You can ask how to improve specific parts of your algorithm or a general explanation to the problem. We have some very god seniors on this group who'll definitely help you.

2. Please do not post your code on this group until the submission deadline. Posting small snippets of code are allowed.

3. You can mail your seniors individually if you really want to discuss the algorithm. Please do this only if it's very much needed. 

4. General doubts regarding submission can be asked on this thread.
