Hey Stephen & other money-interested folks,

Can we get an initial financial report? I still don't know how much
we're short by and/or have spent, and what we've got incoming / come
in already and would love to know. Here's my suppositions of
available $ which could use some correction. I have no idea what the
accounts payable/paid side of things looks like. Knowing we need a
thousand bucks (versus 0) makes me more motivated to donate some cash
or talk to friends about it or participate in stuff like the
burgerville or poster-making endeavor...

I think we raised around $1160 on site
I think we had over a thousand in paypal donations
i think ginsberg sponsored us for $750. did he pay up already?
i think vitamin water got invoiced for $500 and put payment odds
pretty high if we chase it, since they paid us last year and came back
this year.
I think we made around $400 at the fundraiser party
I think we had ~$200 in our account to start with (via stephen)

I'm not really offering to chase down the money this year because it
was miserable work last year which eventually ended in the books being
broken and us finding out 6 months after the fact, but I'd like to
facilitate the conversation that leaves us resolved during the actual
summer, this year.

This might be a good thread to report any expenses you had too. I
spent around $150 of which i only want $50 back (poster tubes, which
will presumably make money).

I brought all the donations to Charley, Umbrella's President, today.  The money we collected at Velo Cult, as well as the ride itself, our sponsorship from Mark Ginsberg and other miscellaneous donations.  Charley has the online donations.  

Here's a rough estimate of the deposit:

Velo Cult Funds:     $450.

WNBR 2012 Funds: 1100. 
Online Funds:          1000.

Ginsberg Funds:        750.

Misc. Funds:             300.

So that's roughly $3600. I'll get the exact number from Charley shortly and send out a statement that shows our monies raised & spent.  We cut costs this year substantially compared to last year so we are going to be close, or much closer, to breaking even than if we spent a similar amount to last year which was around 10K.

It sounds like we're just doing intake right now, but so you don't feel like you're missing anything, I'm a $0 this year in receipts. I bought some stuff, but didn't end up using it because of time/project constraints. Woohoo! Personal best for art budget!
