Present: Matthew (for the dog show in October), Catherine, Charlotte, Theresa, Lorraine, Hetty (minutes)

 

• Matthew, from the London Animal Hospital, updates us on the dog show which will take place next FEAST (Oct.). They will come in the morning and bring a gazebo and a table for registration, plus bunting to mark the place (Charlotte provides sound). The show will run from 2 pm – 3.30 pm, registration (free) from 1.30 onwards. Charlotte will ask Errol to announce the dogs (etc.); the DJ needs to turn down sound when dog show is on. A friend of Theresa will take photos; we will also ask people to send in a ‘dogs’ show best photo’, to be judged in the month after FEAST.
• October is also Black History Month – activities at Portico, a talk about Africans and Caribbeans in WWI; at St. Luke’s – African drumming workshop.
• It is also Harvest Sunday – people from Chatsworth Baptist Church bringing food to St. Luke’s and both churches will sing there. Theresa will make sure there are boxes at HQ to collect food for Foodbank.
• For Tea and Talk: it’s nice if there’s something to do or talk about -  old photos? Knitting (where is the basket?); books of 1950’s, magazines and so on.
• Suggestion: to have tables and chairs in a gazebo in the family area – Lorraine to explore.
• Winter/Christmas Lights: as last year on a Sunday – December 9, 4-7 pm. Theresa has booked Father Christmas; Hetty will organize choirs.
