Overall quiet Feast, due to the gas leak which meant many punters had to come a very long way round. Three parked cars! Thanks to Lesley and Colin for filling in for Charlotte and to Rosie for filling in for Liz & Jane at Artisans.

 

Food (feedback emailed)

Artisans – quiet start, cars parked but Gladiators worked round until removed, busy at end of day

Retro – two cars (!) both belonging to Roseberry employees (usual staff member who reminds about Feast was on holiday, Carron to investigate a way of helping the message get through better!)

FnG – slow, quiet due to gas leak.

Family - very quiet. Charlotte to meet with Family trader to discuss marketing Feast better. Feast letters are difficult to secure in situ, work on better plan? Charlotte also to talk to Wingit team about improving things.

 

Gladiators said they didn’t want to report parked cars – Charlotte to clarify that this is part of their role.

Charlotte to ask if road closure notice wording couldn’t be bigger.

 

Colin removed tape, cables, string from 6 gazebos at the end of the day – hub leaders please remind traders not to use this on stalls as it interferes with the mechanism of the gazebos. Charlotte to remind hub leaders to remind traders! Also remind traders to take rubbish home!

 

Charlotte to include thick ribbon in each toolkit for hub leaders to tie round ‘quarantined’ kit – that way Gladiators will remember to put it separate from other kit when it goes back to Portico.

 

More chairs needed – Charlotte to buy an extra 10

 

Sandwiches – only sold 5 of the 10 made, do we abandon or push harder on social media? Niamh to improve signage and more to be made of them on socials.

 

Portico van – Charlotte to ask if Sunil wants to use it on Feast days and then John to raise at Steering to see how much Feast will pay for use of van.

 

Ents/Activities

 

Some late arrivals due to gas leak but overall very good. Colin’s blue plaques got a lot of interest, Charlotte to keep and laminate for next year!

Dog Show person coming to next volunteer meeting on 11 Sept.

 

Colin A to curate ‘Cultural Feast’ in November, along with Catherine who will do the Dulwich Literary Festival liaison. Picturehouse hopefully open by then!

 

Retro at Family next month – Carron asked for a banner to be designed.

 

Sponsorship leaflet – new designer volunteer to help do professional layout of existing word document. Charlotte to ask sponsorship team to get the document ready for this.
