Hi Everyone
Hope this finds you all well?
Hope you have seen the Scrap The Yard campaign? If not - it's about preventing Southwark Metals from building a very large scrap metal development at the end of the narrow cul de sac that is Windsor Grove (where the Royal Mail sorting office is) - and which includes, as many of you will know, a residential area with several schools close by.
The campaign has a petition - more signatures much appreciated: https://www.change.org/p/stop-southwark-metals-moving-to-windsor-grove-west-norwood and tomorrow the campaign are organising a public protest on the steps of Lambeth Town Hall at 6pm - everyone very welcome - to coincide with the Planning Committee Meeting where the planning application is being recommended for approval.
Helen Hayes our MP has objected as have all nine of our local Councillors -  and Helen and three Cllrs will be speaking at the meeting as well - and we have three community reps too.
Campaign website with lots of background info: https://www.norwoodforum.org/scraptheyard and an article in Brixton Buzz here:

The campaign can be found on Facebook: @ScrapTheYardTwitter: @ScrapTheYard_WN, Instagram @ScrapTheYard
Hope to see many of you tomorrow evening - the protest will go ahead rain or shine! Please like and share our socials, and share the image attached.
Helen Hayes will be officially taking receipt of the petition (more than 5500 signatures so far ...) at 6.15pm tomorrow - on the Town Hall steps.
Many thanks
Kim
