Phi Alpha Theta is hosting a viewing and discussion of "The King's
Speech" at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 9th, in 3508 Knauss Hall.
This film portrays King George VI's struggle to overcome a stuttering
problem that prohibits the new king from making public addresses.
Britain was experiencing a political crisis at this time as the former
king, Edward VIII, abdicated the throne because of his affair with an
American divorcee. The film will be followed by a discussion of the
events surrounding the controversy. Free pizza and soda will be
available during the film.
