March is a very busy month for the College Democrats of WMU. More details on everything listed below will be available at tonight's meeting!
Senator Debbie Stabenow will be visiting WMU on Monday, March 17 at the Fetzer Center. She will be speaking on Women in Politics. The presentation is presented by the Gender and Women Studies program at WMU, and the College Dems will be helping out. Seating is limited, however, we will take a head count at tonight's meeting for reserved seats.
March is NeoCon Awareness Month. Every day this month we will blog (wmudems.wordpress.com). Please visit, read and comment on the postings. If you have a posting that you would like put up, e-mail it to wmu...@gmail.com
We also will be showing the documentary The Power of Nightmares, a BBC series on the rise of Neo Conservatism. Join us in room 1220 of the Chemistry Building every Tuesday in March from 8-9 for a segment of the documentary.
THIS SATURDAY, (March 15), Impact'08, a campaign training will be held in Kalamazoo. Registration is free, but space is limited. The training will be conducted by members of the Granholm Cherry team, and Lt. Governor John Cherry will be in attendance. A representative from the governors office will be at tonight's meeting to give more info.
Relay For Life will be April 11-12. Once again, the College Democrats are the ONLY political organization to participate. To join the team online, visit the link below. Please help us get to both our fundraising goal and our goal number of team members!
