Iraq War Debate and Prep

Trouble at WMU! The International Policy Forum accidentally asked the Republicans for A Better America rather than the College Republicans to join in the debate. Due to this mistake, the debate scheduled fro Monday will be postponed. We should have a new date very soon.

 

For this reason, we WILL still have debate prep tonight. A car will be outside the Bernhard Center at 9:30pm to transport people to the Kalamazoo County Democrats headquarters. If you are driving, it is located off Westnedge, just past Whites, right before Damon' s (currently under construction).

 

SUNDAY DEBATE PREP WILL BE CANCELLED! We will reschedule once we have a new date.

 

Meetings

We are still having meetings on Mondays at 8pm. This week we will be flyering after the meeting ends.

 

Paint It Blue

On November 28 College Democrats from across the state will meet in Lansing from 5-7:30. During the event most of the democrat state representatives and senators will stop in and say hello. We also will have representatives from the Michigan Democratic Party, influential leaders and congressional staffers. This will be a great opportunity to network with other College Dems as well as elected officals. If you are considering a summer internship, this will give you face time with Senators and Representatives before you apply. A 'Finger Food' dinner will be provided. We are trying to work out an opportunity for the WMU College Dems to get a private tour of the capitol building and sit in on a session of the house. This event is being paid for completely by our elected officials and democratic lobbyists. IT IS COMPLETELY FREE!
