Does anyone need to carpool? I'll be coming from Sellwood.

Colin Lovett has a new job (news at OPB) and I am filling in for him
with this e-mail reminder about our all-group meeting at 7 p.m.
Monday, March 1 at 2211 NE 21st, the residence of Joe and Meredith
Smith. No RSVP necessary.

Directions – from the West side or East of 21st, come to NE 21st on
Broadway or Weidler, and turn North on 21st, which then winds around a
corner – Joe’s large brown house is on the West side of the street
about four blocks to the North of Broadway, almost catty-corner to the
Irvington Club. Enter the house from the North entrance – it is a
duplex, or as Joe would call it, a compound, as one of his sons with
family lives on the South end. He has a large living room where we
will be gathering.

There will be reports from three committees – a business plan
committee (chaired by me), a committee working on board bylaws
selection and recruiting (Tia Wulff), and a committee doing a site
mock-up for target practice (Jay Hutchins). The research committee is
planning to finish its work on-line, and will not have final findings
yet by Monday. There will be some business to transact from last
meeting – some proposed changes to the values statement and mission,
for example (Steve Suo). Volunteers for a fourth working committee to
address marketing and public image will be proposed. An experienced
non-profit lawyer who has agreed to file our 501-c-3 on a contingent
fee basis, Charlie Williamson, will be present to answer questions.
The Emily Harris investigative reporting group will be represented to
see if they want to merge with us, and they may have some questions
for us as a group.

This may be a great meeting to get caught up with what’s going on, or
to plug in and help.

Colin will undoubtedly send out an agenda Friday, and Becca Pollard
should have minutes from our last meeting arriving soon for review
prior to the meeting, as well.

Hope to see you all there. Regards, Ron
