Hello, Spring Reign Coaches and Contacts!

A few more details before the tourney tomorrow.
  • Field Map Change - We had to move field 24 due to marshy area.  It has been shifted slightly east so that it now sits over fields 27 and 28.  We weren't able to make this change to the event program before it went to print, so please notify your fans if this applies to your team.  The online map has been updated at http://g.co/maps/p5hrq
  • Event Program - A PDF version of the event program is attached.  Please forward this to your families.  We will provide one event program in each team packet, and we will have a few extras for parents, but we do not have enough available for everyone.  
  • Paperwork must now be submitted in hard copy form at check-in.  We are out of the office all day preparing for the tournament, so we will not be able to process emailed or faxed versions of paperwork before check-in.  You can send them to us by email if you would like - and we *may* have time to process them, which would save you time at check-in - but it is not guaranteed.  So please bring hard copies just to be safe.  
  • Check in tonight or tomorrow morning.  We encourage all teams to check in tonight at 7-9pm at the Best Western Cotton Tree Inn (2300 Market St, Mt Vernon, WA, 98273).  Any teams who can't check in tonight may check in tomorrow morning at the northeast field site, near the restroom building and playground.  Any team representative may check in the team.  Only one person is required to check in.
  • Coaches' meeting at 9am Saturday at the northeast field site, near the main event central.  All teams must be represented (ideally a team coach), even if they have a bye in the first round.  Only one person per team needs to be there.
  • Sunday volunteers needed.  We have a skeleton crew, so please encourage parents to stop by during team byes to relieve a volunteer for 60-90 minutes.  We also request that all teams who can stay and help clean up after the tournament.  If we do it together, we can get it done very quickly.  Without your help, it will take hours.
  • Saturday night pizza starts arriving at 4pm, and entertainment at 5:45.  If your team is done early and doesn't plan to stay for the showcase, make sure to get your team pizza before you leave.  You will need to submit your scoresheets to pick up team pizza (but please drop them off even if you aren't getting pizza - if you want to be eligible for the tourney spirit award).  Just one team representative should stop by the pizza table.  We will serve pizza from the northeast food tent.  The showcase game at 5:45 will be a combination Seattle Riot, Seattle Underground, and Seattle Sockeye scrimmage.  Five Ultimate will also be holding a special disc competition (more details on that at the coaches' meeting).
  • No camping or RV parking is allowed at the fields.  Please notify your families.
  • Bring your own dishware - plates, bowls, utensils, water bottles, and such - for your complimentary snacks - so that we can limit the waste we produce.  And please make players and parents aware of the separate recycling, trash, and compost bins throughout the tourney.

Everyone - players, coaches, parents and fans should be proud of the group effort this weekend. There was a great mix of gritty determination, across the board positive support by all,  and genuine sportsmanship displayed by the players toward the other teams.

I wear a woman's 12-14 and they fit me, but given the baggy style, I'd say they would be for 8-12. Ella played fantastically and I think they would fit her. She can try them and if they don't work no worries.

I can have Ben bring them to school for her to try. Just let me know. When I get home I'll sent a picture.

$149 group rate for duct/dryer cleaning?

Hello neighbors! I'm organizing a group rate for vent cleaning services with Daniel. If you have allergies, notice extra dust, or haven’t cleaned your vents in over a year, it’s probably time. He quoted $400, but with 3–4 houses it’s $169 for a single AC unit home. And if you book along with your neighbor or a friend, your price will be $149.  Currently, two households are already on board, so we just need two more to qualify for the discounted rate. If interested, PM me your contact number, house address, and your availability so I can add you to the list. They also do chimney cleaning if anyone needs it.
