Metadata version 1.3(.0)

All,

our document was agreed by CBS-15.I am now creating the folder structure to hold the draft. The standard will not become formal until it has been agreed by the Presidents of Technical Commissions, and the management procedure has to wait for EC-65 before it becomes "official".

In the mean time, I attach a zip file of the folder structure I intend to put on the web. There are three points I found when I was creating the zip file.

1) We cannot identify versions of the code list without opening the file - unless we change "part 1" every time we issue a change to the code lists.

2) We need to start labelling the documents and folders with the sub-version number (ie in this case we are working towards1.3.1 - but I have labelled it as 1.3.0 in the folder structure as it is the "version for testing") - see bellow for the code list.

3) I have updated the preamble in the code list file to correct the version numbers and publication dates. (see the end of this post)

So:

a) is the folder structure correct?

b) is the versioning correct?

c) are there still problems in the code list file?

d) do we need to include anything else in the folder structure?

The folder tree will go under wis.wmo.int

Please let me know any problems before 5 October.
