--------------------------

Vote Item 1: Approve WAMI Services: Dissemination Services for Wide Area Motion Imagery [OGC 12-112] as a new OGC Best Practice.

Start Date: 2012-10-25
End Date: 2012-11-24
Description:

At the Exeter meetings, the OAB reviewed the WAMI Services: Dissemination Services for Wide Area Motion Imagery specification and made numerous recommendations, one of which was to first have WAMI approved as an OGC Best Practice. The Members approved an electronic vote to release “WAMI Services: Dissemination Services for Wide Area Motion Imagery” [OGC 12-112] as an OGC Best Practice. There is evidence of implementation.

This document describes a set of web services for the dissemination of Wide Area Motion Imagery (WAMI) products. This BEST Practice describes a performance centric, scalable grammar and schema that enables globally federated dissemination of WAMI products for high performance, high speed consumption.

Therefore, the Technical Committee Chair recommends the TC:

Approve "WAMI Services: Dissemination Services for Wide Area Motion Imagery” [OGC 12-112] as a new OGC Best Practice.

Vote Details

Vote Item 1: Approve Modeling an Application Domain Extension (ADE) of CityGML in UML [OGC 12-066] as an OGC Best Practice

Start Date: 2012-10-25
End Date: 2012-11-24
Description:

At the October 2012 Seoul Meetings, the Members approved an electronic vote to release “Modeling an Application Domain Extension (ADE) of CityGML in UML” [OGC 12-066] as an OGC Best Practice. There is evidence of implementation.

The OGC CityGML specification does not provide clear rules on modeling an ADE in UML. This paper describes how the extension was built, which provides general insight how CityGML can be extended for a specific applications starting from the UML diagrams. This document was initially proposed to be a Best Practice paper at the Exeter meeting, but 3DIM members wanted more time to review and recommended the document as a Discussion Paper at that time.

Therefore, the Technical Committee Chair recommends the TC:

Approve "Modeling an Application Domain Extension (ADE) of CityGML in UML” [OGC 12-066] as a new OGC Best Practice.

The document is located on the portal at:

https://portal.opengeospatial.org/files/?artifact_id=49000

This is a 30 day electronic vote. The vote will close on November 24, 2012.

Comments are welcome.

Please note that the final version of the document, if approved, is subject to final editing for modifications to the cover page and any typos identified during the voting period. Any comments received during the voting process will be processed and responded to be the document authors.
