The turntable in studio C was humming even louder than it has been when I went in today. I took a look at the head shell and the green wire is barely connected to the cartridge.
I took the head shell off the SL – 1200 in the office area, move the needle to that cartridge from the studio C cartridge and put the head shell on the studio C turntable. Things sounds significantly better now.
The tracking force is just a guesstimate. If someone has a scale, they should check it.
I put the bad head shell/cartridge back on the techniques in the office area
