To ops,

The main monitors in C shut down again on my last song at about 11:50am today.  I touched nothing that would cause that, and all program buttons were lit up on "1". Second time now they went down during my show, but this time at the end of my show. Everything else is working, e.g., headphones, speakers in all rooms, webstream, 91.5 air signal, all are working. Just the main monitors in C shut down again. Everything was lit up on program 1. Just wanted to report it to ops, again.  Please look into it   Thank you kindly.

Hey Frank,

I just checked on studio C - the power switch to the monitors was off. You must have bumped it by accident. On the rack directly under the desk to your right when facing the board and under the CD player, there is an amp that sends the audio to the monitors. Make sure you don't accidentally bump that switch with your chair.

Bumping of major equipment has been a longstanding issue. Placing the CD players on the desk at a recessed angle was a remedy for the trays being smashed by the DJ chair when they forgot to close them on an almost monthly basis. Before the PDU, Studio A got knocked off air at least twice by someone bumping the power switch at the top of the rack which prompted a crude guard plate. Given the other expensive equipment in the lower racks one would hope those in the chair would make a point of not bumping things but perhaps it's time to be pessimistic and install guards such as this over equipment that doesn't require DJ interaction and other hinged over the equipment that does, or perhaps a full vented door over the entire rack: https://a.co/d/6ObdIsV

Sebastien...  thanks for telling me exactly where that switch is. I don't recall bumping any switch down there, but if I did, I'll definitely be more aware of that area going forward. I've never, not even once, had this problem in our main studio A, and I've been here 8 yrs. Not once did the monitors in studio A ever shut down on me.  Also I agree with Jesse Weeks, we need something to block that area. A ventilated block.
