FCC Commissioner Calls for End of Physical Public File Access Requirement, Requests Additional Public Comment

I don't agree with Commissioner O'Reilly very often, but it would be nice to see the end of the physical public file requirements.

This has come up before but never really gone anywhere. Guess we'll see if it has better luck this time. There's a 52 page Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) if you're really interested in the details:
