Just figured I'd let you all know that tomorrow I'm mixing up a very special Tears of the Gods sound collage that's going back exactly 49 years to the day of November 11, 1967. After long time WMFO DJ Hank Faunce's passed away in 2013, Ron L'Herault sent me high quality archives of four episodes of Hank's "Real New Orleans" jazz music show that originally aired on WGBH radio in 1967 and 1968.

This is the second WGBH episode from Ron that I'll be completely incorporating into a sound collage, and the idea for tomorrow is to mix Hank's entire 39 minute program on New Orleans jazz music up with
Billboard hits that would have been on the radio then, particularly the singles from Jimi Hendrix's debut album "Are You Experienced?" (which had been released in the summer of 1967).

The (radio show within the radio) show will be broadcast tomorrow November 11 from 8 pm to 10 pm on WMFO 91.5 FM, and on the webstream at wmfo.org as well as being available afterwards through the WMFO archives by navigating to Tears of the Gods on the Friday section of the schedule page...

All the best,

Edward Beuchert
