Fundraising questions

On the topic of our surprise spring fundraiser, just wondering if someone can answer a couple of questions to make it possible to ask people to give up their hard-earned money.
Do we have a goal? Are we going for just any amount of money that happens to trickle in, or is there a number we would like to hit?
Is there merch, as is customary for radio station fundraisers including our own? Are there pledging levels at which people get said item(s)? Can they view them ahead of time, as is also customary and can be a big, big motivation for donating?
As always, just want to be able to do it right if we are going to do it. Need and incentive are all we’ve got for leverage.
If we don’t have this info, I am happy to just play the PSAs and forget about it. But I thought I’d ask.

The page on the Wmfo site lists merch for multiple donor levels.
