[Wikitech-l] GSoC 2012 - Integration of Flickr and enhancing Geolocation support in Upload Wizard

Hi,
I am Ankur Anand( drecodeam ). I have been interested in working on the idea of integrating Flickr and enhancing the current Geolocation support in the Upload Wizard extension.
I have been talking to my mentor Ryan Kaldari, and have drafted my proposal: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/User:Drecodeam/GSoC_2012_Application
I know its almost closing in to the final submission date, but it would be great to have feedback and comments from the community over my proposal.

This proposal and the other one I just responded to about Flickr seem to have some overlaps. I suspect only one would be accepted - and this one does appear to be more developed at this stage.

However, similar comments as before - has input been sought from folks administering existing Flickr tools on Commons and Toolserver - also - is the assumption that Flickr has everything ready on their end for us to do this integration a correct one on my part?
