Hello

Is anybody using windowmaker with 2 monitors. When I open xterm, most of the time it opens the xterm window where one part of the window is shown in one monitor  and the other portion of the xterm window is on the other monitor. It centers the xterm window on the whole screen.

How can this be corrected?

This is the same thing when I want to maximize the firefox window when playing a video. It it uses both monitors.

Is there a way in windowmaker to restrict this maximization to one monitor?

Regards

Or is this solved by having Xinerama installed/active on the system? i am using Xorg (no wayland).

Yes. afaict from reading old entries in the NEWS file wmaker should be
able to do this with Xinerama.

Hello Andreas,

So without Xinerama, maximizing a window will use the whole screen (the real-estate of both the monitors).

From examining the code for window maximization, I got the impression that this might be the case.

Will try that.

Regards.
