Chinese Character Search

Hey Guys,

Got the Chinese English English Chines dictionary and it is working
great!

However, living in China you dont always get the pinyin to be able to
do a word search.

I am using HTC touch cruise English version, how can I do a character
search with the dictionary. Do I need to find an special keyboard for
my device?

I can read Chinese font on my device thats no problem, just trying to
figure out how to write Chinese characters.

also on the dictionary menu the WM-dict website shows pics of having
flashcard options, look up, etc.

however on my menu all that comes up is
'about,settings,customize,advanced search and exit' wondering why this
is?

Hey back,

We are glad that WM-Dict works fine for you.

First, with WM-Dict you can do searches on Chinese characters. But, of
course you need a "Soft Input Panel" (SIP) in order to write Chinese
characters. We personally use PlumSIP which seems to be Freeware and
works fine with all applications requesting text input (including WM-
Dict). If you want to download and install this software please check

Second, concerning your question about flash cards and lookup, we
would recommend you to watch the 2 short video recording that can be

This will provide you a general overview how to use this additional
options. If you would like to use the flashcard option, you will need
to install the PocketFullRecall program that can be found here:

http://fullrecall.com/pocket-pc

But, as we said, we would recommend you first to watch the video
recordings and then to proceed further.

Thanks a ton for the help. will check out the download for PlumSIP.

With regards to the video tutorial, for some reason its not loading on
the page. I can get the Full recall video but the overview one is not
loading. Looks like it is a flash video but if not, is it a youtube
video? Recently China banned youtube so no access for us within her
walls. Perhaps that's the problem.

anyway, thanks again, your program's gonna help out quite a bit
deciphering my surroundings.
