First - thank you for making the program available! It is wonderful.
I am using it on my laptop, and was trying to get it onto my PDA.
(IPAQ 111 Mobiles 6) I was able to install WMDict on the PDA as well
as the three dictionaries. I also installed the Chinese font file and
ran it. But, in the dictionary results I only get the pinyin words
and little boxes instead of Chinese font. I have tried copying the
font file to different locations on the PDA. Any suggestions?

Klari,

After installing the Chinese font, did you soft-reset the device? A
restart is required for the font to be available.

The font should be located in the \windows folder

Yes, I had tried the soft-rest. In the Windows folder there are files
named "mssong" (ttf file) and "ChineseFont" (cabinet file). Later I
added to the the Windows / Fonts subfolder to try that (fonts in both
places now). The program is installed my storage card--is there
anything that should be done differently? Thank you...

Hello Klari,

The ChineseFont.cab file should not be in the /Windows folder. You
should execute this cab file, and it will install the following 3
fonts in the /Windows folder: mssong.ttf, cour.ttf and (most
important) arial.ttf.

So please do the following:

1.) Execute the ChineseFont.cab
2.) After that, please delete the ChineseFont.cab from your /Windows
folder
3.) You can delete the mssong.ttf file and the ChineseFont.cab in
your /Windows/Fonts folder
4.) Verify that you have the mssong.ttf, cour.ttf and arial.ttf in
your /Windows folder. There is no need to have them once more in your /
Windows/Fonts folder
5.) Please softreset your device

After the softreset WM-Dict will display also the Chinese characters.

Please be so kind and let us know whether this solved your issue or
not.

Thank you for all your time and help. The three files are at their
proper location.
I am embarrassed to say that they likely were yesterday also.
I thought I knew how to "soft reset" the device, and I did not.
It is working well. Thank you again!
