This software appears to be great. I'm a student and I can't afford
the other expensive ones, although I believe you guys should charge
folks at least a dollar for all your hard work.

Anyhow, I've got a Dell Axim X30 PPC, which is WM2003 SE, Version
4.21.1088. I've tried intalling both the 2.0v and the 1.3v. None of
which will run the program when I click on the WM-Dict icon. There are
no errors during installation nor any errors after installation when I
click on the app icon. Nothing happens, the app just does not load/
run.

What might be the problem?

Thanks.

Hello BM

Thank you for your kind words. We are glad to provide our very useful
tool for free. Our reward is to receive words of thanks, like yours.

Concerning your issue, did you install the "Microsoft .Net Compact
Framework"? If not, that might be the reason, why WM-Dict does not
work on your device, even though it was installed properly.

You can download the Framework by clicking on the below link:

http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/348330/02-Mobile/Microsoft.NetCF2.0.cab

After installing, be sure to have your device soft resetted.

Please let us know whether this solved your issue. If not, do not
hesitate to contact us again. We will try to provide you with support
until WM-Dict is working on your device as well.

Greetings

Brilliant. That was the issue.

By the way, the NET cab file from the link of the previous post does
not work for my device. Get the "not valid Windows CE setup file"
error.

I used a file from a non Microsoft source. Since I'm not sure what
copyright rules Microsoft got on their product, I won't post the link
to that file here.

However, for anyone else who might experience the issue, refer to the
following link for a complete list of versions suited for specific
devices.

Cheers mates.

Post Script:
Mine (Dell Axim X30 PPC, which is WM2003 SE, Version 4.21.1) used
NETCFv2.ppc.ARMV4.cab by the way, that is .NET Compact Framework
Version 2 (NETCF V2). Which appears to be the same version file as
the link above, but the file from the above link still won't install
even after downloading it for a second time for the checking of
possible file corruption.

Oh and that WM-Dict sure is quick! I'm successfully using v2.

Thanks!
