My surgeon was also Dr. Carson Liu and I had my surgery last year on Dec 11th. The tips I have are listed below..
1) I made a list of things to eat based on doctors recommendation & got my family ready to shop, so when I got home, everything I needed was at my fingertips.
2) Then I started planning on what & where I was going to eat out after my first week of surgery. You'll be on a liquid diet, so I investigated a variety of clear soups that I could eat. Places like BJ's & California Soup Kitchen, etc. That way, I could still go out to dinner with my friends & husband and not miss a beat.
3) I also drank aloe vera gel from Forever Living Products after my first week. Aloe vera is a flowering succulent plant from the lilly family like onions & asparagus. Aloe vera gel is 100% pure & natural vegetable juice that is antibacterial, antivirul & antifungal. It helps promotes healing after surgery & reduced the amount of nausea and vomiting to a bare mininum. If I got any feeling of indigestion, immediately drank the aloe vera gel & it quelched that feeling almost instantly. I can only vouch for my brand of aloe vera barbendenis miller species since there are over 300 species.
