Preparing for the fall--suggestions?

As September falls comes upon us, it is the start of many celebrations
for people like birthday parties, Halloween, and all of the Holiday
festivities. It is important that you start practicing planning how
you are going to handle such gatherings.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how you handle such events or what
your pitfalls are?

Please share with the group how you plan to handle these things or
what advice you have for everyone else.
