Hi all,

KC, Hanna and I had a great meeting yesterday talking about the final events that we're putting on this spring. For a brief recap, here's what we talked about...

1. Next Discussion Forum on Thursday, April 15 at 3:00 with KC's aunt and interesting business leader - KC sent the email blurb, so we all need to begin publicizing this and telling our friends about it. 3:00 should be better for athletes too; we're hoping for 10 people min!

2. Pre-frosh event! We booked the Lowell small dining room for this also as it was open and isn't too far from campus. We're holding it on Sunday April 25th from 2:-3:00. We need to make handouts, decide on food/drink, and talk about how else to make it an exciting experience for pre-frosh!

3. DEAN HAMMOND!! We're really looking forward to hosting Dean Hammond on Friday April 30th at 3:00 in Lowell. We would like to get 20-25 RSVPS so that we'll be sure to have a full room. I'm planning to send an invite to WLP first and then we can all open up invitations to past discussion participants, friends and members of this year's WLC. Please share any thoughts on how to make this a really special and memorable event. Also, we want to come up with more of a topic and direction for this event, so let me know your thoughts on that as KC and I have a concept but need to develop it further. I should let Dean Hammond's office know details in the next few days.

4. Bead Sale Co-sponsorship!!! Andres (or anyone else who's interested), would you be able to attend a planning committee meeting with all the co-sponsors this Sunday at 8:30 pm? I hope you can make it and I'm excited to have your help, guidance and support on this.

If you're able to grab coffee/a meal this weekend to discuss these ideas, let me know. Otherwise, let's all be in touch to make these last few events the best that they can be!

Thanks for the great response Andres - the pre-frosh program looks awesome and I'm looking forward to our tea/info session with prospective students! Will you all be able to join us from 2-3 to meet and talk to the froshies? Let me know!

To follow up on your other comments:

-I'm bummed I wasn't able to come to the Leadership Working Group meeting but am thrilled to hear that LIHC people put it on their calendars - I was definitely going to invite some of them, so this is great that they know now. And it would be wonderful if Susan could join too! We are confirmed for Lowell Private Dining Room and have it reserved from 2:30-4:30 so we'll have plenty of time to set up and mingle afterward if Dean Hammonds (pardon my earlier misspelling!) has time to stick around.

-SO excited to hear that you shared the BeadforLife sale & event info with the WLP Alumni Board. I particularly like this because it would give us the opportunity to meet some of our alumni and it would bring in older women who would likely be willing to buy jewelry and support the cause! I will be sure to bring this up in the meeting on Sunday. Also, we haven't nailed down 8:30 for sure yet, so if 7:30 or 9:00 would be better for you, let me know as we will finalize time and location by tonight (probably Quincy D-Hall).

And 2:00 coffee tomorrow works for me.

A few thoughts on the upcoming events

I can't make the meeting this Sunday (4/11) because I have my peer counseling shift. I want to ensure that WLP plays an active role for this meeting so I will try to get someone to cover for me (I have a staff meeting later today so I'll keep you posted). a few things on this event: I had a conversation with the Alumni Board of WLP and they were very excited about this event and hope to spread the word among Boston-area alumni so they can support this event. In case I can't make it to the meeting, could we make sure that one of the outcomes from the planning meeting is an e-mail for WLP alumni? Also, where will the meeting be held?

I'm available Satuday at 2pm to have coffee (WLP treat). Who else is available?

Can anyone else - Hanna, Sam, Ali, MacKenzie - meet at 2:00 for coffee? If not, Andres, could we just touch base on everything tomorrow after the meeting?
