Wkhtmltopdf Ubuntu

Openerp software requieres me to install wkhtmltopdf version 0.12

In the Ubuntu repositories the version is 0.9 and don't work with the aplication.

I can't install 0.12 in Ubuntu. Is there any Readme or information about how to install it in Ubuntu ?

I never use the wkhtmltopdf package through aptitude. I always get the static from the main site. That way I have control over which version I use. 

If I remember correctly, and this is from memory from a hospital, you need 

glibc 

And depending on which version and which Ubuntu you may need an x server or  a virtual one like xvfb

Why can't you install 0.12?

I downloaded the tar file and I have 3 folders. There aren't any valid dpkg packet and I don't know where placed them.

Did you download static binary?

If so you just need to give it execute permission and move to required folder. 

File name will be wkhtmltopdf-i386 (for the 32 but version). Can't remember what the amd64 one is. It may be wkhtmltopdf-amd64

Ok, I downloaded the binary and copied the file into the Bin folder, and it works. But don't works right. The header is broken, but I think this is an openerp problem because i'm testing a beta version.

If a simple command like: 

wkhtmltopdf http://www.google.com

Works then it's going to be a problem with your other software or the command params you're using.
