Are different license options available?

Has there been any consideration given to releasing wkhtmltopdf under the LGPL 2.1 or a different license? 

We would like to use wkhtmltopdf in a commercial product and are fine with open sourcing any modifications we would make to the source, but there is concern over LGPL v3 due to the reciprocal patent clauses in it.

I have contributed most of the patches and am fine with this change
(lgpl 2.1 or later), but you will have to find commits by all other
authors in git, and ask the authors for permission or re implement the
changes, since we do not require copyright assignment for patches.
