Is it possible to embed image to pdf so it could be reused

Hi,

I wonder if it is possible to embed an image to pdf and after reuse it on all pages?

What is happening right now with current implementation, a separate image is being inserted into every page making the file size very large. What I'd like to achieve is for the image to embedded and reused (It reuse the image when using background-repeat).

This is not possible currently. However it could trivially be
implemented with a hash value, and a lookup table in the qtpdf
printer, if anyoune should want to implement that.
