Just now, 7:45 pm Saturday evening, Terry and I were sitting on the beach west of Kokanee Creek Park when we heard what definately sounded like a crane! We saw a large light coloured bird flying through Kokanee Narrows heading east. Sandhill crane? Very lost whooping crane? The bird was too far away for id.
