Such a great time of year when there are new birds to see almost every day! In the last few days we've had:

the first Osprey in Nakusp
flocks of Ruby-crowned Kinglets and Yellow-rumped Warblers passing through
a huge wave of 200+ Savannah Sparrows, 200+ in Nakusp on Friday
4 Cassin's Finches were singing in Nakusp on Saturday
Good numbers of waterfowl, including a flock of 50+ Red-necked Grebes, an Eared Grebe, and a couple of Redheads
White-crowned Sparrows are moving through
Western Meadowlarks, a Nashville Warbler, 3 flocks of American Pipits totally about 250 birds, and a Cackling Goose, in Edgewood on Monday.
20+ Tundra Swans and a Snow Goose were photographed at the north end of Slocan Lake a couple of days ago.
Mountain Bluebirds continue to pass through
American Goldfinches are coming back into breeding plumage
The one thing I haven't seen yet in Nakusp is a hummingbird ..................... any day now!!

You are so right Gary! Since you and the Kaslo Birders were up this way, it seems like each day we have a new species for the year. Lardeau is not getting the species nor the numbers you are (yet).

Our new birds, these past few days:
Peregrines x2 at the nesting bluffs
Cassin Finch
Nashville and Orange-crowned warbler
Savannah Sparrows (3)
a singing Fox Sparrow
Yellow-legs
a singing Says Phoebe this morning
a snipe in the yard 5 minutes ago
a lone White-crowned sparrow
