I also agree with the summary. Regarding the side event my experience says that it is very difficult and expensive to get a place for more that two hours. The side event could capture the interest of some sponsors if the cases selected could really open a new window for other to replicate. It is too soon to include details on the side event but reading the summary it will be of the utmost importance to knock some doors to invite other institutions such as the Business Council for Sustainable Development and others (say in the international trade sector such as The International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development –ICTSD--) to help in the definition of such cases.
Ernest: Do we have our list already updated?

Dear Stephen,
I have no specific comments on the project idea for now. The main content of the project summary is well outlined.
What we need to do is to decide whether the event will be organised as a side-event in Rio or organise it in your country.
This will depend on how many days we want to run the event. Most side-events to larger conferences run only a few hours or one day maximum.
Given the issues that will be addressed by the event, one day event is very short. An event of 4-5 days is necessary for this event.
Maybe we could stick to our original idea of organising the event in your country probably in November 2012 after the Rio conference. This will give us enough time to fundraise and to research the case studies that will be presented at the meeting.

The proposal is very good, FARN is also interested in collaborating with the initiative based upon the work that we are doing with colleagues from Latin America and Natural Justice.
