Some rules that work for others really well?

eg, show a message asking users (intent to go away) to sign up and receive a coupon.... am looking for success stories in the form of presets.  Will help everyone.

Sorry for having this unanswered.

There's a couple common use-cases on Exit Intent Notifications - 

One of them is to invoke a function to capture an email address when they scroll away to exit the page anyway. 

Second one is when they take the user to an internal page where you can incentivise to perform an action.

Another one would to be show exit intents pop-ups only to people coming from a certain AdNetwork ("referrer") since you're paying for traffic.
