Having problems setting up SMTP

Hi,

I have been trying to set up the SMTP settings and not having any joy with it. Have even sat with my Email provider and we triple checked all the settings and tried multiple options to get this working.

Please see the attached image for reference. The documentation also does not mention anything, should something go wrong. Also, the test email just says Error Sending with no reason as to why it fails (see attached)

Any thoughts?

Hi ,

Could you please check your SMTP settings as this is the response we are getting from your servers.

535 Incorrect authentication data

There could be several reasons for this error, from incorrect credentials to certain settings at your SMTP server.

Let me know if you get any leads from the error response, else would be happy to further debug this case.

Hi Pranay,

We tried several options last night trying to get this working...
  1. Used a different email
  2. Reset the password
  3. Used the IP address of the server
  4. Used the Host address of the server.
None of these worked which was interesting as I have done this a zillion times.

Thanks for your input so far. I will look into this again tonight.
