Importing PSPP Files (Version 1.4.1 - 2) to W2 doesn't work

Hi, all

when trying to import PSPP .sav- Files (also zip and portable) the files are greyed out in the finder dialogue. The PSPP is version 1.4.1-2, tunning smoothly on Mac OS 12.2.1

Interim solution: As a collectors item I still host  W1 on my Mac and tried it out: it is possible to open that files without any trouble. 

So I use W1 to convert data  to W2. Is it a bug or feature - or something in the metaphysics ;-)

Hmm, very strange. It looks like PSPP is assigning a file type to these files that Wizard2 doesn't recognize. It is not an ideal solution but you might try:

1) Deleting pspp.app

2) Open the Terminal and run

    /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

I will see about fixing this in the next update.

Also – Which menu item is graying these out? File > Open, File > Import SPSS Binary file, or the generic Import File button?
